Cardiovascular and thoracic surgery diagnoses and treats diseases of organs located in the chest, such as the heart, lungs, esophagus, aorta, mediastinum, diaphragm, and organs. Since these thoracic organs are very important organs that are indispensable for maintaining life, cardiovascular and thoracic surgery is a department that surgically treats patients' diseases with professional technology and knowledge and cutting-edge medical facilities. The field of treatment includes acquired heart valve disease.Generally,it can be broadly divided into the adult cardiology which treats coronary artery disease and aortic disease, the pediatric cardiology which treats congenital heart disease, and the general thoracic surgery, which deals with diseases and carcinomas of the lungs, esophagus, mediastinum, diaphragm, and trachea. In addition, we are in charge of treatment and surgery for various diseases such as thoraco-scopic surgery and hyperhidrosis surgery. Currently, 3 professors, 2 dedicated nurses, and 1 extracorporeal circulator are participating in the treatment and surgery.
