Introduction

Emergency medicine is a clinical field created to provide more comprehensive and effective treatment to emergency patients visiting emergency rooms.
Since its establishment in December 1994, the Department of Emergency Medicine at Chosun University Hospital is currently comprised of a total of 7 faculty members, including 3 emergency medicine professors and 4 clinical professors, and 10 emergency medicine residents, and is responsible for treating approximately 30,000 emergency patients annually. there is. The Chosun University Hospital Emergency Center was designated as the second trauma emergency medical center in the country in July 2005 and has been treating numerous disease and trauma patients.
In order to provide efficient and systematic emergency medical care, an emergency medicine specialist is stationed 24 hours a day and is in charge of emergency room treatment and management. Not only patients in emergency medicine fields such as CPR, poisoning, and trauma, but also patients with various diseases in the fields of internal medicine and surgery. We provide prompt medical treatment to people. In addition, we work closely with patients with time-critical serious diseases, such as myocardial infarction, cerebrovascular disease, or severe trauma, to ensure rapid final treatment by linking them with the relevant specialty departments. In particular, through collaboration with trauma specialists at the Severe Trauma Center, we have established a system that can provide prompt and appropriate treatment to severe trauma patients.

Basic Life Saving (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Rescue (ACLS), Advanced Trauma Support (ATLS), Advanced Pediatric Rescue (PALS), Poisoning Treatment, Therapeutic Hypothermia Induction, etc.

Major investigations

The emergency medical center is equipped with an independent clinical pathology room, computed tomography room, and mobile ultrasound, providing one-stop emergency testing 24 hours a day.
