Laboratory medicine

Introduction of the medical department

Four renowned faculty members with expertise in the fields of diagnostic hematology, clinical chemistry, clinical microbiology, diagnostic immunology, transfusion medicine, and molecular diagnostics work together with residents to conduct examinations, interpretations, and reports. And 28 personnel, including 28 pathologists and 2 nurses, are doing their best to increase patient satisfaction through fast and accurate tests.

  • Diagnostic Blood - We conduct tests to diagnose blood cancer, blood coagulation disorders, and infectious diseases of blood and other body fluids, and we strive to provide quick and accurate tests.
  • Clinical Chemistry - We perform general chemistry tests, special chemistry tests, protein immunoassay tests, urine chemistry tests, and therapeutic drug concentration tests. Most of the test equipment is automated to shorten test times and increase the reliability of test results.
  • Clinical Microbiology - In accordance with the global standardization guidelines of NCCLS and the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), the isolation and identification of various microorganisms and their antibiotic susceptibility are tested using cutting-edge automated equipment and manual testing by skilled testers, and the tests are performed under the accurate reading of the specialist in charge. We are reporting the results.
  • Diagnostic Immunity - In addition to various general and special immune test items, we also test viral markers, endocrine hormones, allergens, autoimmune antibodies, and tumor markers using the latest equipment and optimal methods verified for each test.
  • Blood Bank - Performs blood type testing, transfusion compatibility testing, unexpected antibody screening, etc., and is responsible for self-blood donation, blood input/output, and blood storage. It uses a perfect computer system to ensure safe and appropriate health for patients. We have a steady supply of blood.
  • Molecular diagnosis - In addition to histocompatibility testing (HLA) testing for patients and donors, we are equipped with the latest base sequencing equipment and perform testing for not only blood diseases such as blood cancer, but also blood type genetic testing, genetic testing for hereditary diseases, and various infectious diseases.
