Korean National Health Insurance Holders
The patient covered by the Korean National Health Insurance Coverage (NHIS) should bring a referral from a local doctor, or else you will have to meet the Family Medicine Doctor first in IHC (International Healthcare Center) as per the NHIS guidelines state.

Direct Billing Service
We help you by billing directly to your insurance company on behalf of you when you do not have a Korean National Insurance Coverage (NHIS).
If your insurance is contracted with Chosun University Hospital, please ask us for direct billing before visiting our hospital. Otherwise, patients are required to pay upfront and claim for reimbursement.
Please contact your insurance company to make sure you understand benefits and plans that you are covered:
- Confirm that Chosun University Hospital is a contracted provider of services for your plan.
- Request and obtain a Guarantee of payment letter before you visit the hospital.
- Confirm any limitation or exclusion of the guarantee of the payment letter. It is the patient’s responsibility to pay the deductibles, co-payments, and non-covered items.
- Present a valid insurance card and ID card or Passport. If the patient is a child, please kindly present a copy of the Birth Certificate or Passport.
