Psychiatry

Introduction

Neuropsychiatry is department that diagnose and treats disorders in human behaviour and thinking. Neuropsychiatry is in charge of treating main mental illness field such as schizophrenia, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and dementia. There are four faculty members, specialists, nurses, and psychology specialist in Neuropsychiatry department as staff and they provide intergraded treatment under close cooperation in order to upgrade quality of treatment for patients and their family.

Main diseases

  • schizophrenia : brief psychotic disorder, Schizoaffective Disorder, (조현양상장애)
  • mood disorders : major depressive disorder, dysthymic disorder, bi-polar disorder, cyclothymia anxiety disorders : panic disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, social phobia, post-traumatic stress disorder
  • brain damage disorder, epilepsy : Personality change due to brain damage, temporal lobe epilepsy
  • Childs youth psychiatry : Tic disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, learning disabilities, childhood mood disorders, oppositional defiant disorder, conduct disorder
