Nephrology

Introduction of the medical department

We are conducting specialized treatment and identifying the causes of various kidney diseases, and we are doing our best to manage patients with the best hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and kidney transplant surgery.

Major Diseases

Renal failure, glomerulonephritis, urinary tract infection and obstruction, nephrolithiasis, dialysis, transplantation, etc.

Major Investigations

It conducted researches to investigate the cause of various kidney diseases and is involved in specialized treatment. It provides the best blood dialysis, peritoneal dialysis and is doing its best to manage patients who have undergone kidney transplant.

Nephrology

  • Hemodialysis
    - As a type of renal replacement therapy, it is a treatment in which an arteriovenous fistula (a surgical connection between an artery and a vein) is formed, and waste products and body fluids are removed through a hemodialysis machine at an artificial kidney center at regular intervals (usually three times a week, every other day).
    Peritoneal dialysis
    - It is a type of renal replacement therapy that involves inserting a peritoneal dialysis tube into the abdomen and then repeatedly injecting and draining peritoneal dialysis fluid into the abdominal cavity manually or using a machine to remove waste and body fluids.
    kidney transplant
  • Etc
Kidney transplantation is a surgical procedure in which a healthy, donated kidney is connected to the patient's arteries, veins, and bladder to replace a diseased kidney that is malfunctioning and life-threatening.
After surgery, if there are no special problems such as surgery-related complications or acute immune rejection, the patient will be discharged within 2 weeks and receive regular follow-up tests at an outpatient clinic.
If rejection of the transplanted kidney is suspected, such as when the renal function of the transplanted kidney suddenly deteriorates, a kidney biopsy should be performed and appropriate treatment should be received according to the biopsy results.
We operate an artificial kidney room (west side of the 8th floor of the main building).
