Inpatient Services
A Patient’s Guide to Hospitalization
- Meal Distribution Services for Patients
- Breakfast – from 7:30 a.m.
- Lunch – from 12 p.m.
- Dinner – from 5:50 p.m. (summer season) / from 5:30 p.m. (winter season)
- Meals are provided from the hospitalization day.
- Please inform our nurses of patients’ food allergies.
- When fasting is advised, patients should refrain from consuming any food that enters their mouth (e.g. water, beverage, tobacco, etc.).
- Meals for Patients’ Caregivers
- Patients’ caregivers should use private restaurants instead of hospital cafeteria.
However, an extra bowl of rice can be provided only if you make a request to our nurses one hour before meal(s).
- Drinking Water
- Water dispensers are placed next to nurses’ offices in each hospital ward. (Use it only for drinking)
- Communal Kitchen
- Electric heaters and/or flammables are forbidden inside hospital rooms. Please use a communal kitchen on the hospital roof (9th floor in the west side of the building).
- Amenities
- Each hospital ward is furnished with a refrigerator, an air conditioner and a TV. There are also a nurse call device, an oxygenerator and a nitrogen suction device available for emergency use.
A bank, ATM, cafe, Chinese and Korean restaurants, porridge restaurant, convenience store, bakery, snack bar and medical equipment supplier(s) are all located on the first floor.
- Storing Valuables
- Our hospital is frequented by visitors. Individuals should keep their personal valuables with them. The Hospital is not responsible for loss of any valuables caused by your carelessness.
- Going Out and Staying Out Overnight
- Doctors usually make their rounds between 8 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. and between 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m., but the schedule is subject to change due to medical treatments or surgeries.
Please make sure that patients wait in their hospital rooms while doctors make their rounds to maintain smooth medical treatments. Patients are not allowed to go out and/or stay out overnight for their safety during their medical treatments. If it is really necessary, you should get the attending physicians’s permission, fill out the form available in the nurse’s office and have this form confirmed by the Hospital Administration Team before submitting the form to the nurse’s office. Patients should not leave the hospital in hospital gown.
- Using a Telephone
- There are telephones available for each patient in the hospital rooms.
In-hospital and outside calls can be received and local calls can be made in VIP rooms and single room rooms. Dial 9 and use it after a dial tone to make local calls
(area code: 062 / telephone exchange number: 231).
- Changing Hospital Ward Sheets and Hospital Gowns
- Hospital ward sheets and hospital gowns are usually changed every two or three days but if you request to the nurse’s office, dirty sheets and gowns can be changed. Please put dirty sheets and gowns in the designated collection box of each hospital room and wrap sheets and gowns stained with urine, feces and/or secretion in yellow plastic bags (available at the nurse’s offices). Call our nurses if you need help.

- Guide to Book Rentals
- Books are available during inpatient care, and can be rented when necessary.
Book rental service is available between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. and between 2 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
It is located on the 8th floor in the east side of the building. Please call our nurses in case you need help.
- Smoking in the Hospital is Prohibited.
- Smoking is prohibited anywhere in the hospital for patients’ health and clean environment.
Please comply with our smoke-free policies, particularly in hospital wards, bathrooms and stairs.
A fine of less than 100,000 won will be levied in case of violation according to Clause 54 of Article 1 of the Minor Offense Law.
- Hospital Child Care Center
- A hospital child care center for pediatric patients is located in the hospital ward No. 71.
Operating hours: 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
- Resting Areas Located in the Center of Hallways
- Visitors can use resting areas in the center of hallways or a hospital store while patients are resting.
- Fire Prevention
- Cooking with heating appliances or gas is prohibited in the hospital.
Please follow instructions of nurses and/or safety personnel (faculty members) and remain calm in case of unexpected situations such as fire and accidents.
The hospital buildings are equipped with automatic sprinkler systems and fire extinguishers are placed in hallways.
Central staircases and left/right staircases of each hospital ward are fitted with emergency exits.
- In Case You need Nurses’ Help
- A nurse call button is placed on the wall next to a patient’s bed. Please use a nurse call button if you need urgent help from nurses.
